I've got a story to tell... Hypocritical Freddie is a short story with a simple and impactful message about having double standards. It was actually inspired by a meme that I saw on Instagram about guys who wouldn't date a porn star but would paradoxically sit wanking over porn. The single is produced by Rosko with co production from myself.
After recently having an issue with an uncleared sample on a song I released back in 2013 I chose not to use the sample that Rosko originally had on the production. Instead I opted for real instrumentation that not only kept the essence of the bluesy sample that Rosko had originally used - it transcended it with the guitar parts being soulfully played by Thomas Rickerby that dance beautifully with Gergő Bille's trumpet parts.
I toyed with making the song longer into a more traditional arrangement but decided against it leaving the song as short, sweet and impactful as I could.

So Sarah gets a job at the strip club stripping
Freddie’s at the strip club with his cash out tipping
And then out the corner of his beady little eyes
He sees his daughter Sarah twerking for some guys
Oh that’s it Freddie loses his shit
Sarah gets embarrassed and covers up her tits
She says fuck you dad you’re a fucking hypocrite
Don’t be like Freddie don’t be a hypocrite
