LYRICS:

It’s crazy how formulaic it is
How obvious it’s become and I don’t know
I still I don’t understand why people
Who are trapped in that can’t see it at this point
They know that there’s probably like a good five issues
Five main top issues I would say for each group
And they just keep recycling one after the other

Meritocracy
Habituated ass holes
Class goals
You can catch me in a cave with some pastels
Art on a damp wall
Rags and a candle
Cherishing the moment
Stamped on a mantel
Exploring the past for answers that was written by the ruling class
A gruelling task for chancers romancing with the loosest facts
Are you a left-wing authoritarian (No)
Or a left-wing libertarian (Yes)
On the contrary said the contrarian I am whatever you are not (Fuck off)
Let’s disagree for disagreement sakes
Stop leaning all your freedom stakes
On the steps of these Demons gates
‘Cause those fuckers will nick them
You can pick them out the picket line the potential future tyrants
Those sly cunts will never sneak past you though
Or at least you thought so
Until you caught no tyrants in your net
Protect ya neck
Triple threat with three sixes
In these ditches
We carried our fellow freedom fighters to the remaining good witches
For stitches and herbal medicine
Because we were no longer welcome in a state run residence
Universal healthcare that’s un-universal for the non-compliant
Lady Liberty and Tony the tyrant head-to-head until one of them is dead
And later replaced by someone just as great
Depending on what side of the plate you eat your steak from
We lead down on the concrete trying to rest our heads
And dreamt of a re-connection with nature
Until the pavement said that she was dead when we woke up
Is it still 1984?
This year is never ending
Never ending story
We miss the stories from before the nothingness ruled our unimaginative brains
And left plain Janes everywhere now everywhere’s the same
One big monoculture led by a hollow vulture
Sorrow sulkers are not tolerated here
Pass me a beer

It’s almost like a wheel on a crank or like a Price Is Right game
They just keep spinning the wheel and go to the next one
And then they go to the other side and make them really freaked out and upset about something
And then the other person, the other side goes hey you guys are jerks for getting upset about that
Then they turn the wheel another crank and it’s all flipped the dynamic is flipped
Then the other side says I can’t believe you’re upset about that you know

Open up a can pour it down my gut
Walking in the rain I don’t give a fuck
I’m above it now I’ve been underground
Ride a thundercloud to another town
I’m in search of something new
Every version is unoriginal
Everybody is someone else
Every person is up for sale
Where I work on building sites
Tory working class this is life
Hate the left get it right
They took our jobs you wanna fight?
I make music creative types
See most of us hate the right
It’s in our nature I understand
But they are us dealt a different hand
I try very hard not to read too deep
Into surfaces I can see beneath
You are not caricatures
They’re drawing lines to divide us all
This is not a call to arms
It’s a production we almost dance
Things are bad can’t you tell
All hope is lost welcome to hell
I sip my can and look around
We almost fend for ourselves
It’s ascertained and I swallow that
I followed you now follow back
‘Cause what we have within our guts
Is something sacred something just
We’ve gone beyond a place of trust
But from now on don’t be a cunt
